Hello, I would like to suggest the introduction of conditional orders. For example if losing 2-0 in min 55, at the moment you cannot change formation or style of play. So changes based on some increments like 15 minutes or even every 5 minutes would be nice. Also based in certain events, like going down 2-0 regardless of the minute, to be able to change formation, tactics and so on. Also it can be tailored by minute and event as is in some other similar games. I think it would improve the game quite a bit. Thanks :).
Yes, I agree. There are a lot of unforseen events happening at different moments in the game. And you should be able to try and turn things around. And also the fact that you already can do half time changes and yellow card changes, means that the system can support this. Let's hope the dev/devs will add this :).
Holding condition high can be solved to play soft and slow. Also having high NF helps a lot to hold condition high. Using subs on a good way, 4 or 5 also helps holding condition high. You always can sub a player when you want so i dont see the point.
Currently the game already have options to change tactics without altering formation, with rules applied at halftime when the coach meets again to decide the second-half strategy. And also have substitution rules for yellow cards to prevent expulsions.
The new suggestion is good, but maybe it could affect these existing rules in the system.
We need to introduce variables that can make the manager's actions with the team more realistic and fun. For example:
I start with a balanced formation and at halftime I set an order that if I'm NOT winning, the team should switch to a fast attacking formation. Imagine that in the 40th minute there's a red card for my team. It doesn't make sense, and no manager in the world would then switch to a fast attacking formation. They would see a draw as a golden opportunity in this match given the circumstances.
Introduce a "if there's a sending-off" option in "my team," switching to a slow defense, for example.
I'd also like to have several options at halftime for my team to do what's necessary (what a manager would do at halftime):
If I'm winning --> my team starts the second half this way.
If I'm tied --> my team starts differently.
If I'm losing --> I go on the attack...
If one of my players is sent off --> X
If one of the opponent's players is sent off --> Offensive...
Ultimately, we need to give the coach as many options as possible so they can manage their team coherently. Right now, predicting what might happen is often a matter of luck. If a player is sent off in the first half, your halftime tactics become pointless (no coach would use them, and you're doomed by the limited options available).
Substituting players after a card is preventative, but in many cases, it doesn't make sense. A player gets a card in the 4th minute, and you substitute them? You substitute them in the second half because you're worried about a second card, but not immediately.
Little by little, there's a lot of room for improvement, allowing for greater tactical intervention during matches and ultimately impacting the results.
Currently, you analyze the match, choose your tactical options, take risks: if you get it right, you have more chances to win; if you get it wrong, more chances to lose. That’s fine. But if you can change things 50 times, what’s the point??
Referees have been introduced, and depending on the type of referee you have to measure the intensity of your tackles and decide whether to take risks or not. With this suggestion, you would always play off fast, and if you get a red card, then you change. It makes no sense.
And here people always talk about supporting smaller teams. If it is already difficult for them to get good results against big teams, what chances will they have if they get the tactics right but the big team has several options to change them??
I like the tactical aspect and I’d like there to be more options, but they have to be introduced carefully.
There could be a set number of changes. Let's say only 3 formation changes allowed in a 3, or 3 style changes allowed and so on. If you feel that there may be managers who do 50 changes in a game. Which I doubt to be honest, but in real life the manager can shout to his players different instructions even after half time. In this game you are very limited in what you can do as a coach in matters of tactics. But I understand that not having these kind of possibilities makes the game a lot easier. As you do not need to think of how the game may evolve in each moment.
As I said in the initial post, it can be done so you can only change at certain minute in the game. Let's say minute 30, half time, min 60 and 75. And based on nthe minute and condition, let's say losing or drawing you can adjust the strategy. So basically you have 4 changes per total in the game that the engine needs to recalculate. Ok you can change formation and style and players, so it is actually 3 in 1 change,.but that is still 12 changes per total. Which seems quite reasonable from my point of view.
