Hiring and maintaining staff at your club costs money, but it’s a long-term investment that will help improve your team’s performance both on and off the pitch.

Coaches

All clubs start with two randomly assigned 1-star coaches who receive small wages. These coaches can help boost player performance through specialized training. If you want more or higher-rated coaches, you will need to hire them. Each club can only have one coach of each type. These types are, Goalkeeping, Defending, Attacking, Technique and Physical.

Coach Hiring and Maintenance Costs:

• 1-Star: 0.2 Euro (paid in gold) to hire, 1 local currency per week to maintain
• 2-Star: 3.0 Euro (paid in gold) to hire, 3 local currency per week to maintain
• 3-Star: 8.0 Euro (paid in gold) to hire, 8 local currency per week to maintain
• 4-Star: 14.0 Euro (paid in gold) to hire, 14 local currency per week to maintain
• 5-Star: 20.0 Euro (paid in gold) to hire, 20 local currency per week to maintain

You can upgrade a coach’s star rating. The cost to upgrade is the difference between the cost of hiring your current coach and the next higher rating, plus an additional 10%. For example, upgrading from a 1-star to a 5-star coach is 10% more expensive than hiring a 5-star coach outright.

Scouts

Scouts provide two main benefits. First, they allow you to determine the talent level (star rating) of any player you don’t own, at a small gold cost paid to the local federation. Scouts work based on the game's four global regions, for example, to scout a player born in France, you need a European scout. Second, scouts grant you access to the free player market. To see all free players from each of the four global regions, you need one scout per region.
