Predictions League

The Predictions League is a season-long contest where you predict the outcome of featured club matches and earn points for every correct call. Climb the leaderboard across the 28 days of the season, the top three predictors at the end win a trophy and item prizes.

How Featured Matches Are Picked

Every day at the start of the game day, the system selects 5 featured matches automatically:

• 3 Top ELO matches — the biggest clashes of the day, ranked by combined team ELO.
• 2 Random matches — picked at random from the remaining candidates to give underdog teams the spotlight.

To qualify, a match must have two real managers (no AI-controlled teams) and be a competitive fixture — league, cup, Champions League, Continental Cup, league playoffs, or national super cup. Friendlies and user tournaments are excluded.

How to Make a Prediction

Open the Predictions League page from the Community menu, or click into any featured match. For each match you can pick:

• Home win
• Tie
• Away win

You can change your pick at any time before kickoff. Once the match starts, your pick is locked in and waits for the result.

How Points Are Scored

When a featured match finishes, your prediction is scored:

• 3 points — base reward for any correct outcome.
• +1 point — bonus if your correct pick was the slight underdog (lower pre-match ELO than the opponent, up to 100 ELO difference).
• +2 points — bonus if your correct pick was a heavy underdog (lower ELO by more than 100).
• +1 point — automatic bonus on any correct tie prediction (draws are statistically rare and reward skill).

A wrong pick simply scores zero points. There is no penalty for predicting and missing, picking is always better than skipping.

Season Leaderboard

Your points accumulate across the whole season into a public leaderboard. Each row shows:

• Your current rank and rank movement since the last scoring pass (a green arrow for climbers, a red arrow for fallers).
• How many picks you have made and how many you got right.
• Your total score.

Ties on score are broken by: most correct picks, then fewest picks made (rewarding accuracy over volume), then earliest first-scored pick.

Season Prizes

At the end of every season, the top three predictors receive trophies and items. Trophies are added to your profile permanently and items are deposited into your inventory the moment the season ends.

Predictions on Non-Featured Matches

The familiar per-match prediction widget still works on any match page, the home/tie/away vote bar shows how the community feels about a match. Only featured matches contribute to the Predictions League leaderboard, but your lifetime prediction accuracy on every match continues to be tracked on your profile.
