More new stuff, two monthly task chains, a way to convince your retiring legends to stay one more year, smarter squad-status morale, and the long-overdue abandoned match rule for teams that run out of players during a match. Let's go đ
đŻ Goal Rush & Iron Wall â Monthly Task Chains
Two new monthly chains spawn for every active manager at the start of each season. Both run on your official club matches only (league, playoffs, cup, supercup, CL, CC), and both reset at the end of the month.
đ„ Goal Rush â 8 attacking milestones:
Sharp Shooter â score in 3 different matches
Three And Counting â win scoring 3+ goals
Playmaker â a player with 2+ assists in one match
Relentless Attack â 10+ shots on target in one match
Total Control â win with 60%+ possession
Super Sub â a substitute scores
Total Domination â win by 4+ goals
Hat-Trick Hero â a player scores 3+ in one match
đĄïž Iron Wall â 8 defensive milestones:
Brick Wall â win without conceding
Fair Play Defense â win with zero cards shown
Choke Hold â win allowing the opponent â€5 key passes
Tackle Masters â win with 20+ tackles
Untested Keeper â win without conceding a shot on target
Stifling Press â win keeping the opponent to â€3 total shots
Death Grip â win with the opponent below 35% possession
Untouchable â keep 5 clean sheets across the season
A few things worth knowing:
Tasks are sequential, the next one unlocks when you claim the current one.
They're manager-bound: if you run two clubs, matches from both count toward the same chain.
Played a hot streak before opening the task panel? Claims cascade, one click can pop several tasks in a row that your recent matches already satisfied.
Chains expire on day 27 at 23:45, before the season-end maintenance window.
Rewards are awarded when the chain is complete.
đŽ Postpone Retirement â One More Season
When a player gets tagged for retirement at season start, you'll now find a new "Postpone Retirement" topic in his Player Talks.
If he accepts: the retirement tag changes color, his wage doubles, and he becomes unsackable for the rest of his career. You can still transfer-list him.
If he refuses:Â the offer is final for this retirement, the topic disappears and he retires at season end.
Future seasons may re-tag him via the normal age-based retirement chances, and the talk reopens. Each fresh acceptance doubles the wage again (2Ă â 4Ă â 8ĂâŠ). Postponed players show a green RetĂN label tracking how many times they've been convinced to stay.
Loyal and Calm players are the easiest to convince. Hothead and Cocky veterans are long shots.
The talk button hovers tell you the projected new wage and the unsackable lock before you pick a tone, no surprises.
A way to keep your club icons playing one more season, at a steep but earned cost. This option will only roll out tomorrow.
â Squad Status now drives Lacking Playtime
The Squad Status of each player (Star / Important / Regular / Backup / Prospect) now changes how much benching they tolerate before the Lacking Playtime modifier kicks in. The system also moved from season-long ratios to a rolling 10-match window, so recent treatment matters more than what you did with the player back in week 1.
New thresholds (out of his last 10 eligible matches):
A star benched half the season will complain; a backup only feels wronged if you cut him entirely. Injuries and bans are still excused, history pauses while he's out. History resets cleanly on transfers.
The Squad Status cell on My Players now shows the rolling bar with a red marker at each player's personal threshold, so you can see at a glance who's about to tip into unhappy.
đ„ Match Abandoned â Sub-7 Players Rule
Per IFAB Law 3, a match can't continue if a team drops below 7 players on the pitch through red cards and injuries (with no subs left). The engine now enforces it.
When it happens, the match stops at that minute.
The result is recorded 3â0 to the non-offending team, unless they were already winning by 3+ goals at the moment of abandonment, in which case the actual score stands (standard FIFA/UEFA practice).
The offending team's goals, assists, Man of the Match and ratings are wiped from the match. They don't count toward top-scorer or assist races, and they don't trigger Hat-Trick Hero or MoM modifiers, you don't get rewarded for a match your team just forfeited.
Cards and discipline stay. Yellows and reds shown still count toward bans, same as real football.
Two-legged knockouts: if leg 1 is abandoned, leg 2 still plays normally (your team just starts the tie 0â3 down). If leg 2 is abandoned, the offending team is disqualified regardless of aggregate.
The Match Report shows an "Abandoned" badge with the minute, on-pitch score and recorded forfeit score, the play-by-play still tells you what actually happened on the pitch.
National matches and youth matches aren't covered yet and will follow later.
That's it for this round! I will be adding these changes and specific rules to the game documentation soon. As always, report bugs in the forum or on Discord.
