Updates and Tweaks 02/06/25

Hello everyone, hope your having a good season start so far!

I noticed a lot of managers signing foreign prospects, that's fine but keep in mind when you do, the fee that goes to your local federation is split between yours and the player's federation, so you will be raising prizes on other leagues too.

• The amount of prospects available for each country has been reduced.
• When signing a new prospect, the player's potential rating will have to be less or equal to the clubs Youth Center level. So, if you want to sign a 5* player, you need a 5* youth center.
• The spawn timing of new prospects has been slightly randomized.
• Tweaked the prospects panel to provide clearer information overall.
• Finally we have a player comparison tool! When you check players information, you will notice an option to add that player to the comparison panel, you can compare up to 3 players at once.

Hey @nicmo nice work with the new youth system ,but any chance to give home countries a slight advantage on this?

If I am busy irl I will never get a chance to draw best English players.

In my opinion I think would make sense we all see the youth potential earlier in our country.

i don't think its a good ideea this,because some countries have less users and where they are less, they will have big advantage

I don't like that you added talent to the youth centre. This will reduce access and limit the ability to attract young players + clubs that are new will have a hard game to earn something. It would be better to promote top-up packages in exchange for reducing the player's pull-out.                   

In case local teams have to be advantaged in terms of information time, the number of prospect slots for each country should depend on the number of teams, and maybe also the probability distributions of the spawned players' skills should be somehow related to the level of the League. Otherwise, the system would give a huge advantage to the players of the nations with fewer players and lower competition.

It's not feasible, in my opinion, at least not without a drastic change. Something like that could have made sense at the beginning of the game, when the level was similar in all the countries, but now there are big differences, so when introducing that feature, users should be allowed to relocate to other countries without penalties (i.e. paying to change the country and starting from lower leagues). It's better to give no priority at all

everyone started from 0, it is fair that you must have youth centre level high for better players, otherwise is for nothing and nobody upgrade the centre

These countries with close to null potential will get their squads saturated quite fast and we end up in the same situation like now where we loot the countries for top talent anyway.

Nevermind the continents that cannot sustain a well paid CL competition. Is very unlikely a country like Turkey or Scotland to end up having a team of 20 top home grown youths and I doubt the system will spawn 20 Dets in same country over a very short period of time.

A big country actually may have advantage as you get your youths reseted more often,rather than a small one which may end up buying 0 and staying with same proposals for 1 month.

Plus this system at the moment is detrimental to transfer market. Why would I ever buy a youth when I can cherry pick? May take some time,but I can cherry pick from everywhere.

No @Alin, it doesn't depend on how we look at it, at all... It's statistics, maybe not basic, but not too advanced either.

The previous youth system was 100% fair; every user had the same probabilities when spawning players, and there was no way to get an edge over the opponents.

This system offers opportunities for cherry picking and gives a big advantage to those who have scouts, and/or have time to look for youths with available info. It's as if they play with loaded dice.

However, the youth pull is open to everyone, every user can buy scouts and look for youths, without discrimination based on where they live (there is no fixed spawn hour) or where they play.

But if there were an advantage in buying local players, the ones playing in countries with fewer users would always have access to better probability distributions. And even if they fill their club, they would have a money-making machine and could just profit by selling the good youths they don't need for the club.

I mean if u think being able to cherry pick is good, it is cos gives u an opportunity to build an all star team.

If u think this may be bad for transfer market and game funds, then cherry picking ability is bad.

As I said, it depends how I look at it.

Given the discussion about the number of teams and number of players available, I think it's a perfect opportunity to make National Teams worthful. I propose to create a Nations League (or cup), where the countries get more youths player depending on their position or performance in this championship. Just as teams get places for CL and CC.

I like this system because it is based on merit and will reward those countries that sign high level youths.

+1 maridiba, in countries with a lot of users is just imposible get any youth now (no one gets even day 6) and thats what its necessary to get them on other countries, if you let advantage to those countries we dont have chances.

And about market, I guess it was dead before this system anyways, at least with that there are more teams getting youths and more money to the founds.

Well, for sure, the new system has pros and cons... it makes the scouts more useful (and now also the youth center), and it's also quite fun, but it could be disruptive for the player's market if there are too many prospect slots for the current user base (that's why I've always supported the old system).

One may like it or not, but for sure, it is fair because it gives the same opportunity to all the users. With a priority for the local youths, that wouldn't be true anymore

Cherry pick benefits the other country funding and thus reduces the prize of the manager own country, your national fund drop so it's a balance system and better than previous that littraly ruined transfer market as youth players were too accessible even with just level 1 youth center managers started off building their own 5 stars young stars.

With all said and nothing much done yet, I'd like to invite our great mangers to come shopping for players in my country, helping yourselves to help small country survive inflation 🤑

When i say having some advantage on your own country makes sense, its more of a real world perspective since i am sure its easier to gather information from local kids than foreign... currently i am not sure how to make it work here though. I guess that aspect is already in place since you can know local kids information without a scout.

Well, if you look at how things work in real life, most big clubs have academies and/or affiliate clubs all over the world. In those cases, they have the same knowledge of the local youths as the local clubs, and they may even have an advantage in recruiting them because of their brand.

So, I also guess the scouts here are already doing that. If you have no scouts, you still have the advantage of knowing the local youths

@nicmo i think you must change something on the youths, because they are exploited, 1 star is very cheap and exploited,players that could be 3-5 star  are promoted in 1 star and after on transfer market immediatly.

You must put a limit for every squad ,like if we can have only 13 youths should be only 13 youths per season promoted or the youths promoted they can be sold when they are 17 . we must have some limits...

Yes I agree, something needs to change, because I also tried to sign young players and someone got it first which is normal in the game whoever is always online always wins, but such good players with only 1 star really is a waste and less money for the game.

+1, and also players should start in day 5-6, all days previous are only time waste.

And for the people who wants get youths randomly should be another option, because in Spain for example not a single player gets day 5-6, all spawned before, thats a lit anoying.

I've always said the old system was better because revealing too much info about the youths would be bad for the Players Market in the long run. If one wants to buy a full 5-star team, how many youths does he need? Buying 4 youths every two seasons would be more than enough; the request for 5-star youths is minimal. Before the update, just Palermo and I were doing that, and in the last season, no youths with 5 stars were bought as far as I know.

Buying 1-star players is not exploitation, it's just because they are more in demand. I could buy them 5 stars, but to do what? Not many people are interested in buying them. There is a limit of 3 sales per day, but I would never manage to sell 3 of them per day... that's why I go for 1 stars. That's not bringing less funds to the game, because if someone else is looking for 5-star players, they will keep looking for them, and they would buy a limited amount anyway. When they find enough, that's it... no more funding.

If any, buying 1-star players to sell them is bringing a little action into the youth market

Or buying 1 star just to burn players with big potential.

We must have a limited number of youth to promote per season,like this transfer market will survive ,it is just my opinion, anyway I'm adapting at any situation,but I like a game to be fair for everyone.

Having a limit on the number of youths you can promote wouldn't help the transfer market. If you exclude my GK Zamfir from the free market and the CM Vladut that I bought from you back then and sold a few days ago, all my players are from the youth team (Zamfir and Vladut also were in my youth team, to be precise, but I didn't spawn them obviously). I've probably been promoting on average two 5-star players per season, and that was enough to build a team without having to buy players, even if they were spawned with a random role!

What ruins the market is giving information about the youth players. If you allow the users to pick the role they want, they will always be able to build their team without buying from other users. Let alone choosing youths with known role, height, foot and AQ...

@Alin, that's also a consequence, but why should I be interested in that? I can't speak for everyone, but if 5 stars youths were more profitable than 1 star, I would go for 5 stars and sell them. With the current situation, when I find a good youth I don't need, 1 star seems the solution with the best benefit/risk ratio
