I have a very weak team despite consistent daily training. 4 goals for 57 against. If I abandon this team, will it be replaced with a stronger team?

You have some gold and local currency you can convert to gold and then convert to platinum to buy some better player in the market. 48-50 avq players would really boost your performance. Also a great idea if you makes some investment to build youth and training facilities. You need some kick up plan to get your club going. Even if you abandon this club, the next one will be similar to this one. You have to build your club from bottom to the top league:) 

You need to read the documentation...

Your players dont play at the right position.....its easy to see and understand

With that you have a 10% malus

And your team is now Old it will be hard to make better for free.

If you didnt made any investment the best is to take a new team
