I suggest adding the option to change the formation during the match. For example, you start with a 4-4-2 and set your instructions to adapt to the flow of the game. If you are leading, you switch to a 5-4-1, and if you are losing, you switch to a 3-4-3 or another setup, along with the ability to make player changes that fit the new formation, and so on.
