Hello Managers! 👋

Two new features, a brand new season-long Predictions League, and an optional Two-Factor Authentication layer for your account. Here's the rundown:

🎯 Predictions League

The classic per-match prediction widget now has a season-long contest layered on top of it. Every day the system picks 5 featured matches to play for, and you score points all season long. Top 3 at the end of the season take home trophies and item prizes.

• 5 featured matches per day: 3 highest-ELO fixtures + 2 random picks. Both teams must be real-manager controlled.
• Scope: league, league playoffs, national cup, supercup, Champions League and Conference League. Friendlies and user tournaments don't count.
• Pick a side (home / draw / away) before kickoff, that's it. Once the match starts, the pick is locked.
• Points:
  • Correct pick on the favorite → 3 points
  • Correct pick on a slight underdog → 4 points
  • Correct pick on a heavy underdog (100+ ELO gap) → 5 points
  • Correct draw pick → 4 points (draws are skill)
  • Wrong pick → 0
• Leaderboard updates as matches finish. Tiebreakers favor more correct picks, then a higher hit-rate, then earlier engagement in the season.
• Your old per-match predictions on non-featured matches still work exactly as before, they just don't count toward the leaderboard.
• Leaderboard will be reset tonight since today's matches will be considered a test run.

Season 24 prize pool:

• 🥇 1st: 🏆 League Predictor Champion trophy + 3× Training Boost + 1× Youth Spawn Discount
• 🥈 2nd: 🏆 League Predictor Silver trophy + 2× Training Boost
• 🥉 3rd: 🏆 League Predictor Bronze trophy + 1× Training Boost

🛡️ Two-Factor Authentication

Optional extra layer of login security. Turn it on from Settings → Account.

• After your password (or Google sign-in), we'll email you a 6-digit code to confirm it's really you. Code lasts 10 minutes.
• Tick "Remember this device" to skip the code on that browser for 30 days. Manage and revoke trusted devices from the same settings page.
• Each code email shows the IP, country and device the login came from, so you can spot anything that isn't you.
• Changing your password automatically revokes every trusted device. Disabling 2FA wipes everything clean.
• Fully optional, accounts that don't enable it work exactly as today.

Worth the 30 seconds if you've built up a club worth protecting.

But my personal opinion would be to award item prizes for the first 10 players, as good as it sounds it will quickly become unattractive, if only 3 players win! That is, there should be a fight and a great interest in giving predictions, if you see that in the middle of the season you only have a chance for the first 3 places, don't give up!

i suppose you can't add a lotery for the 5 match selected ? (bidding on the result?) : its a proposal ^^

It would be great to have both authentication providers active at the same time — Google Sign-In and email/password. Even if you usually log in with Google, having email/password available would allow iOS/Chrome password autofill to kick in, which makes the login much faster. Supporting both providers simultaneously would be a nice improvement.
