i don't think a chat will be a good idea for the community, people will use it mostly for the wrong reasons, trash talking other managers, complain about how they lost a match unfairly, complain there are too many red cards/injuries and what not.
This will lead to moderation issues and with so many different leagues, moderators will be required, then, when moderators take actions, they will be at fault because they deleted some comment that they shouldn't, etc, etc.

@nicmo I think it is a good way for income for the game if you ask a fee per shout. If people doesn’t like it they can just ignore it right?

If nicmo starts taxing per line.... GF could make a fortune.

I believe that implementing a chat would bring more disadvantages than benefits: it would likely be used for complaints, attacks, or negativity, which would require constant moderation. Since Nicmo is the only moderator, this would place additional pressure on him.

If shouts were to be implemented, they should be taxed, as Alin suggested, to contribute to the game’s budget, considering the time and effort required for moderation. We already have free communication channels like the forum and Discord, so why add extra pressure on Nicmo without a clear benefit to the game?

Maybe we should tax oxygen, since we can't live without it, and we want to keep the play like real life, where only nightmares are free! 😆

A sort of  'free chat' option on the forums could be a good compromise. Not forcing every player to see it, but allowing players to engage in discussion if they're interested.
