This little guide aims to help you understand what is important when starting managing a team and how to set it up.

Set up player roles

• Its important to setup your captain, select the one with most leadership rating. At the start of every match both tem captains will be compared, the best captain will give a boost to this team as well as ball posession at the start.
• The rest of the roles are pretty important too to increase the chances of corners, freekicks and penalties resulting in a goal.

Player selection

• For a quick and easy selection pess the "fill lineup" button, the computer will try to select the best players he can find but he doesnt put much effort into.
• You can base your selection based on players average quality but keep in mind thats just so you have an idea of the quality of a player. During the match its the actual skills that get compared. The most important skills per position are underlined in the player information panel.

Check how your opponent plays

• If your next opponent is an unmanaged team, you have a big advantage because they always play the same tactic. Check what they use in "Marking" and change your "Approach":
  if they use Closing down, dont use shoot on sight approach
  if they use Dropping deep, dont use pass into space approach
  if they use Man marking, dont use cross to box approach
• Check what they use in "Approach" and change your "Marking":
  if they use shoot on sight, you should use Closing down marking
  if they use pass into space, you should use Dropping deep marking
  if they use cross to box, you should use Man marking
• If you have the better team, play attacking, this will result in a bigger number of plays, higher chance scoring goals.
• Playing players outside their position will make them play worse than usual.

Rotate your team

• Try not to play players below 90%, example at 90% player skills will be reduced by 10%. and so on.
• Keep an eye out for those days where your team plays 2 matches, days 5, 10, 15 and 20 there is always 2 league matches. In some other days you might player for the national cup too.
