I have a couple of suggestions for distributing the funds for the League Bonus in the future.
1) Modify the rank-based distribution:
Currently, there are 7 different bonus amounts for each League, with several positions sharing the same amount (e.g., 4th and 5th, 6th to 8th, 9th to 12th, 13th to 16th). This setup means that for many teams, losing on purpose in the last games of the season has no consequences, which can increase the likelihood of arranged results to penalize third parties (competitors for promotion, demotion, or cup qualification). What about modifying the proportions for the next seasons so that the bonus always decreases from 1st to 16th position? This won't completely solve the problem but could help reduce it.
2) Adjust Budget Allocation:
Currently, the budget assigned to each division is the same, and the prizes are halved when decreasing by a division, as the number of groups doubles. This system seems perfectly fine at the moment since there is still very little (if any) difference in level and salary expenses between the divisions. However, in a few months, with player training, promotions, and demotions, these differences will become more significant. The current ratio of 8:1 between Division 1 and Division 4 will become less representative of the expenses and also unrealistic (in Italy the ratio between the prizes in series A and D is about 1/1000).
There is no immediate rush, but for the future, I suggest assigning the budget to each division proportionally to its average salary expenses. Otherwise, competition will be discouraged
