I look for new 15y-o youths between all countries available and i seek for a certain set of qualities in a new player but... the decent and the good ones almost never hit day 6 . Most of the time they are hired as a 1 star already.

I would love to see a new ''revealingsystem'' to each set of 2 days. when a player is born u see nothing, pay 1 gold and day 2-3 will be visible, pay 1 gold again day 4-5 will be visible, again pay 1 gold day 6-7 and so on.

This way managers can spot one at day one and decide to hire at day 4 for example if still available or instant. For me i sometimes hire a player at/or before day5 and thats always a wild guess which costs 1000 gold for hiring and a lot of vct for a boost. So i would be more than happy to pay gold for the right player instead of hiring a wild guess. If u are lucky, u can spot a hidden gem with only 10 gold, if not u spend 50 gold for scouting, thats all free of choice offcourse.

And this is more fun aswell to do it like this!

The idea for the revealing is kinda unfair to be honest. Everyone can pick their favorite player with traits ASAP and leave the bad players in the pool for the rest.

It’s just my cup of tea ^^“

traits will still be a gamble, they can be good or bad. if i need for example a striker and i have enough defenders, midfielders and goalkeepers in my youthteam, i now need to gamble and pay a lot for a 5 star who i dont even know he is a striker or not, and if i wait most of the strikers who will be available when avq and skills are visible aren't really good and not spending on gold and vct for a 5 star.

i did not hire a single youthplayer this season and only for 1 reason, i check daily, i found plenty at day 4-5 but i wanted to wait till day 6-7 and all the ones i found this season then were hired at day 4-5 before i could see what i wanted to see and pay for a 5 star.

I see your point there, I‘ve accepted the fact that I won’t always get the positions I want or need. But I‘m always happy when I get any type of players to potentially retire or replace bad players.

gonna see what others are thinking about your idea tho

Thanks for your sharing Chazuka_e , maybe my idea is terrible, maybe with some thinking and adding a few details it can become a good idea.  i don't know. I am glad we can add suggestions here on forum, for me a change on the youthsystem would be great.

Maybe it doesn’t have to be a bad idea, maybe it would be better if it’s way more refined or with higher costs the further it goes c:

Indeed something like that, 1 gold, 2 gold, 4 gold for each day revealed.

@Legend that's a very bad idea... imagine having to spend 1000 gold for a 5 star player and just 1 or 2 gold to have info about them revealed in anticipation. Whoever has to buy a 5 star would do it... what's the consequence? Everyone can buy "good" players with the role they need, and nobody needs to check the players market anymore... there is already too much info available with this system, in my opinion

1 gold is too less, maybe to offer for 0.5 or 1 platinum, then it will not be abused,

Unpopular Opinion: for me, individual stats could even never be revealed at all, because in the end they don't matter that much. Sure, it's better to find a youngster who starts at 48 rather than one who starts at 42, but once they're fully developed, the difference won't be that significant.

What I think should be made public earlier -much earlier- is the player's role. Why is that the very last thing to be revealed?

I think a lot of users are tired of ending up with multiple players in the same position while having no one in the roles they actually need.

If you think about it, it's also a deterrent to spending money. For example, I'd be perfectly willing to invest €50 in a promising DL, but I don't do it because I'm terrified of ending up with a seventh DC instead. So I ultimately choose not to spend, and that hurts the game's economy... which in turn hurts everyone.

If someone could explain why a player's role can't be known until the very end, I'd genuinely appreciate it, because maybe there's something I'm missing.

@Manatasaray if the role was known, everyone would buy exactly the players he needs. Who would look for players in the market then? A football manager game without the players market would lose appeal.

For the first few seasons we were able to choose the number of stars and the main role (GK, DEF, MID, S) with an unknown side. It was changed  later to prevent bad consequences on the market.

If you don't want to gamble, you can always browse the market. There will always be someone who has more DLs than he needs

@maridiba

I completely understand your point, but at the same time I'd like to offer a few possible counterarguments:

  1. I can assure you that I always keep an eye on the market, but in most cases there are quite a few unfair listings where users sign a youngster for 50 and immediately put him on the market for 70, 100, or even 300.

  2. In the 15–17 age range, some positions on the market are heavily saturated (MC and especially DC) while others are much rarer. That suggests certain roles, especially wide positions (DR/ DL/ MR/ ML) may be generated less frequently than others.

  3. It's not a particularly realistic feature that a scout only discovers a player's position at the very end of the scouting process.

  4. The transfer market will always exist. With the way the system is currently designed, older players will almost always be stronger than youngsters anyway.

  5. I also wouldn't overlook the fact that the current scouting system discourages spending, and I think the game needs a steady flow of fresh investment.

That said, I obviously accept the rules and adapt to them without complaining. These were just a few thoughts and observations for discussion.

@maridiba, For me, i dont want the young players on the market. I have never seen a player worth buying in the range of 15-18 y-o who has the training and the extra boost of 4500 % ( or at least has the skillset ) and if they have, the trait is normally not a good one. The managers who get those players out of youthacademy ( including myself) need to hold on and keep those players for future. If i see a 5 star youthprospect on transferlist, i always check his avq, if he had the 45 extra's and has the potential to become worldclass. Sure, there are enough 5 star players listed , youths aswell but the worldclass ones almost never and no one who has those are willing to sell them which i completely understand. In future, to beat the teams like yourself, toplevel youths are key to succes. The prices i won up to now are with bought ones, the idea i have myself is with differently trained players like the most i have and see. ( no guarantee for succes offcourse but i do want to try :) )
