 I would ask you to expand all leagues to get into European Cups and Champions Leagues in every country.

Many matches but it create more rivalisations.

It will also give poor teams from multiple leagues a chance to qualify and you more players to EXP

It should work and give a fair fighting system in every league in every country

Good suggestion, qualifying matches can be played in end season

Some already don't like a suggestion as soon they don't know of how their club could benefit from it.

If this can be of benefit to some and bring realisation to the competition then why not?

National cups has qualifying processes for lower division clubs to give them all chances and it's good, it realistic and make it competitive :)

+1

Lanlord

Just like you say. Each participant would go from 2 to 3 qualifying matches and only then there would be a group stage where for entering this phase there would be a prize of about 15 Golds and for each match won 5 Golds. It would be fair for all the leagues where there is only entry into the Champions League and the Europa League. Developing in other countries with two inputs with each would only make a good game and competition.

Bad idea.

Too much matches and not enough time to play it

Told ya, once they don't see benefits for their club its a bad idea lol

Hopefully nic look here and answer to your suggestions if there is a reason why it cannot be introduce in an update. Hmm

@landlord the idea was good, but it is impossible to have 3 matches in a day

To all saying too many matches remember match energy reduction for player is currently being adjusted to balance the game where squad rotation is necessary which is realistic challenge. With more matches, it could be adjust to suit the overall fixture.

Think of it i don't remember participating in national cup qualification since i move to A1 division so in my understanding, the conference qualification stage has nothing to do with euro qualifiers from top4. Hmm

@Minecodersam

It would be fun duh if there is more engagement like more matches hahaha, I'll just put squad in deep chiller, I'll shut training ground down permanently!!.. But again with more matches the energy reduction can also be adjust right?

@minecodersam Yes, it is possible - at the cost of losing energy and frequently changing players in the line-up. It will also improve the league because weak clubs will compete on an equal footing with stronger ones. The stronger ones will have to save valuable players and the weak ones will have high condition, which will give them an even match

I do not understand what the suggestion is. There is already a qualification to the international cups through the league.

@atreyu12 it is a pre qualification, so a qualification for the group phase and not the knockout phase. In this way there are more places for CL and CC :)

But there's already a qualification by the league, so every country has a place in the international competitions. Or is the suggestion about changing the qualification system?

For me each country represent 4 teams for CL and CC....More excited and challenging

@fujiwara

what is more exciting putting 3-4. place from Ireland, Wales, Bulgaria or similar?

No for more places like current numbers

More matches = less trainings, more exp and handicap for weak teams

Instead, i would start to do something with the national teams like cups or tournaments

The idea could be potentially interesting if there were enough competitive teams scattered throughout all the leagues. Still, at the moment, even in the European CL groups, there are some very weak teams (and even a bot!) that are there only to be repeatedly slaughtered without any hope of winning a prize. I don't know how worthwhile it is to add more uncompensated rounds, where you struggle to earn the chance to go and get slaughtered in the group stage.

Even if there were enough good teams spread over all the countries, a few practical problems would remain:

  • Firstly, the schedule is very packed, and adding even just a couple of qualifying rounds would require delaying the start of the group stages. The days with only one match are already very few. How do you solve this? You certainly can't go back to having the knockout phase as a single match, because that would make everything too random. Having a home and away leg makes it more likely that the best team wins and is a great incentive to improve the club (I decided to get serious precisely when the two-legged ties were introduced). If it came down to two matches a day? For a top club with a 5-star locker room, it's not that difficult to equip themselves with 3 or 4 extra reserves, but isn't there a risk of increasing the gap between the top clubs and those who only play in the league? Someone who qualifies for the group stage for the first time risks having to buy so many new players and still ending up without any prizes.

  • If the goal is to increase competition, given that the prize money comes from funds and is limited, you certainly can't think about cutting the current prizes to put money into the qualifying stages. That would have the opposite effect. Furthermore, if the number of spots per nation were no longer assigned based on merit as it is now but were fixed per nation, who decides which teams go directly to the group stages? You could probably use the Elo ranking, and it's likely that even teams that would now be in the Continental Cup groups would have to play in the preliminaries. Are we really sure that it's more convenient to play a couple of qualifying rounds with little hope of progressing to the CL knockout rather than going directly to play for qualification in the CC group stage?

It seems to me that with this proposal, little would change for the top clubs, but it would make it much more difficult to transform a mid-level club into a top club

@Zboniak, @maridiba said it all. The bigger problem is indeed the fact that we don't spots available in the calendar (a 28 day calendar, with the 28th free for season reset, remember that).

Currently we have 27 days to play 30 league games, plus cup games (1 to 6 games for who's on top leagues), and the international matches, which are a minimum of 6 already, plus 2 to 6 games on knockout rounds and 1 for final, for a total of 6 to 13 international games. If a team goes to both finals it has 49 games to play. In 27 days of games.
Where can we have a spot to play qualifying rounds? It could be just 1 or 2, but then it's not a real oportunity.

It is always possible to have 3 games per day, anyway CL and CC is played in different time than league and cup, but I agree, until is increased number of players in game it is nonsense to add more CL/CC rounds. Some leagues has less than 5 active players and has 2 places in CC/CL
